FYI :: All those songs and albums we're buying and downloading in the iTunes Music Store will now count in Billboard's weekly singles and albums charts. For the full story, click the link > http://www.billboard.com/bb/daily/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1925753

Another interesting tidbit from Billboard.com regarding the iTunes Music Store. Their online poll (http://www.billboard.com/bb/poll/index.jsp) this week is regarding the iTunes price-point of 99 cents a song. Approximately 30% of voters find 99 cents too expensive for a downloaded track, and another 30% would rather get their content for free. So much for PC users taking AppleMusic.com into the stratosphere!

Of course this assumes the majority of voters are PC users.

While I continue off-topic here, I find it interesting to note that none of the iTunes Music Store stories in the trades and in mainstream newspapers have pointed out the fact that the 5 million-or-so songs downloaded since the Store opened have been OS X users -- no one can access the store on OS 9 -- so that 5 million number is even more remarkable.

    How true!
I consider myself an average mac user when it comes to iTunes Music Store.
I have purchased about 50 songs total since the introduction of iTunes Music Store

so if my calculations are correct, thats 100,000 average users taking part of iTunes Music Store. And thats with an average of 50 songs to date. (which is maybe a lot??)

Those of you who have purchased iTunes music, how many have you purchased since the introdruction of iTunes music store???
