I recently purchased a Sony VAIO system to use for video editing. One of the things I would like to be able to do is to copy disks I have make on my Phillips DVDR985 (from Camcorder tapes, such as my children's school performances) to make copies for some of the other families.
I find that, although I can copy the .VOB files, I can't make a successful image because I get seek failures reading one of the .BUP files (which are near the end of the disk).
What is the most traightforward way to either fix or work arround this issue?
I understand that the .BUP files are just copies of the IFO files? So can I just copy the IFO files to the corresponding BUP files and then burn them?
Do I really need to demultiplex/remultiplex the files?
Thanks,
Mark Z.
