  1. I just started using my Adver TV tuner card. I hooked it up to my cable tv line and was able to watch tv. I tried to capture using Power VCR 2. I was able to preview everything wit sound etc. Every time I capture and try to see test the file or burn the file I get video without sound. Am i missing something. Appreciate any help. Also is the Power VCR program good for captures or is the Snapstream product better? So far the video I captured looks less than VCR quality even though I set to the highest quality MPEG 2.

Have you checked your recording volume to see if it is selected?

  4. Define fine? Is it selected? Did you plug your audio into line in or mic in? Can you record sound with 'sound recorder?' Did you select audio source from linein in your capture software?

  5. Sorry I am wrong. I have no audio cable hooked up in the back of the computer. The tv card has what appears to be two audio sockets and I have some audio cables that came witht he tv card. I connected the soundcard recorder into the tv card via one of the audio sockets. I still cant get any sound. How is this supposed to be setup. I have a cble into the tv card.
