  1. i sometimes have a problem converting avi with tmpgenc. While converting to mpeg-2 TMPGEnc stops and I get an error message that reads "Index of scan line is out of range(240). How can I correct this error and successfully convert avi. I attempted to use virtualdub to fix avi but virtual dub also gives me an error. Please help

  2. Where did these error-filled avis come from ? Did u cap them ? If so, explain how. If tmpgenc and Vdub both get errors, the avi may be damaged.

  5. I run into this problem often. Regardless where they are downloaded from, they are Divx movies, normally from Kazaa. But This only happens when the movie has some bad sectors in it in which I tried to fix using DivxFix. When TMPGEnc tries to encode, it goes straight to this error message.

    Any suggestions?

You can also get around a bad/corrupt AVI by frameserving it to TMPgenc, using VirtualDub, AVISynth, or whatever server you use. It's an easy solution.
