    Is there any way Identify DVD 9 from Disk? I know that using software of the size will tell you but how do identify from disk that this is a double layer disk? -B

    DVD Decryptor reports whether the disk is single or dual layered.

    I think DVD 5 disks are of a Silvery colour and DVD 9 are of a Yellow/Goldy colour.
    Keep going till you get it right!!!

    some of the dvd9 are quite silvery.
