I have just built a new pc today exactly the same spec as I already have for converting movies.(AMD 2000+, 256 DDR 2700, 40gig hdd, Geforce gfx card, Win XP)
Using the same codecs (Angelpotion, Nimo 7 Build 5, & Xvid) which work perfectly on my old pc but I have to decompress the avi/xvid to get sound through TMPGEnc![]()
Used Gspot & it says all codecs are installed but I`m stuck at whats going wrong![]()
Been on 6 hours trying to sort it but I`ve gave up & hoping one of you guy`s can help me out![]()
Any suggestions are GREATLY appreciated![]()

You have been extracting the audio as a WAV ?
"Today is only yesterdays tomorrow" -
I`ve never had to extract anything in the past, just encoded it straight from the avi file

Personally I find that I have to extract the audio as a WAV before encoding with TMPGEnc and with XVID I leave as is and encode.
Woks every time for me."Today is only yesterdays tomorrow" -
Got it sorted 8)
Uninstalled everything then just put Nemo Codec Pack 5 (Build 7) on & set it to "ENCODER" in the installation, now it does the sound without having to rip the audio
