I am using DVD lab and normally do not have a problem
During compile it is aborting late due to a non compliant MPEG file
How do I check that these MPEG files are compliant?
I am doing a PAL project with Audio and Video in PAL
I have checked all the video files with DVDlab'sMPEG parser.
    What next
P.S. All the file play ok individually on my PC
    Thanks

  2. These parameters needs to be correct:

    Resoltion/Framerate/Video format
    Aspect ratio
    Profile & Level
    YUV format
    GOP structure (preferably closed)

gop doesnt need to be closed except for some authoring programs ..

gop structure though is importaint ..

    bitrate is also importaint

YUV format and aspect ratio (but not resolution) can be set to many different things .. as long as they fall within the dvd guidelines ..

ussually i see bit rate errors , mux errors and VBV errors and GOP structure errors when people send me files they decided to encode themselves .. a lot of VBV errors in both mux'd files and raw streams ..

  4. What tool (free, share or trial, if possible) do I need for correcting GOP structure only? I have a good resolution (compression, format and so on..) MPEG-2 file, but it isn't usable in Ulead DVD Workshop without recompression. Thanks.

  6. Oh no, it's just a part of a DVB stream (pure MPEG-2). Are you sure I'll have to recompress it for burning to DVD-R? Sorry, I don't believe.
Note: Playing this file is 100% ok in PowerDVD (not any visible/listenable errors) anytime. I think it's good MPEG-2 (720x576, 25 fps, ~3500 Mbps), but other then "DVD compliant". So, why total recompress?

I think you misunderstand my question
Sometimes a project will not burn due to the files. How do I identify the culprit file?
I usually find that the problem is an MPEG audio file as AC3 works ok.
The bit rate frequency etc are all the same but still there is a problem
    Thanks
