  1. hi..

i got tired of waiting for the whole process to
finish to check final result.so what i do is
take a file.let it get to about 15-20% in the
    de-mulplexing window.then close this window.
after which it should carry on with the rest of the
process.let the rest finish as normal.this should give
you an idea of the quailty.

    cheers.

  2. quality of what?

if you mean the video the just see the mpg file cause that won't change.
if you mean the audio then just make a small sample and let that run.

  3. The vob file in the VIDEO_TS folder.
For audio sync.which seems to be the
    main problem with (s)vcds.

  4. to be real sure you have to wait what they out come will be till it is all done cause you never know where the out of sync is going to start.

You could try to follow this quide: Finally !! A ((SUREFIRE)) WAY TO PUT MULTIPLE VCD'S ON A DVD
This will take alot of time to do but then they are in sync. Or you can do my methode leave your pc running svcd2dvdmpg when you are doing something else, then check if it is all in sync with powerdvd. If so burn if not reencoded the audio of the eps that aren't good. de-mux the file merg the video with the new audio and run svcd2dvdmpg again or use the vobs and the new encoded audio with tmpgenc author to create a new dvd.

Bottom line burning vcd/svcd on dvd takes time and there isn't any way to cut it short.
