Hi,
Is it possible to copy vob files from DVD and burn them on another DVD to play in a set top player or do they need to be reencoded to mpeg2? I would have thought this is possible without reencoding as they should be in mpeg2 already - any ideas? I want to put a part of a music dvd i own on to another dvd to make up a compilation music dvd.
Thanks
Zed

They should be AUTHORED the same way...you cant just simply copy VOB to another disk a la copying a file...you have to create a title set etc...check out http://www.doom9.org..to see how to author miniDVDs or in your case regular DVDs for more info.
