  1. OK here I go...

Thinking I needed more processing speed I bought a new machine with a P4 2.53 ghz engine 120 GB HD 1 GB RAM , it has 2 partitions on the HD.

Sooooo.. I install Ulead Movie Factory 2 on the "D" drive, that has over 100 GB free space. But when I go to convert a file so I can 'try' to author a DVD. Movie Factory tells me there isn't enough space on the "C" Drive! That's true there probably isn't .. the C is only about 20 GB in size.

How do I get the stupid program to see the "D" drive? It also insists on making folders on the "C" that are for "Working" .. "Converting" and the like. This is maddening, especially since I don't even know if the bloody thing will work at all once it realizes I have enough space. I even changed the folders where it wants to put the VIDEO_TS file so it is on the "D" but that didn't help.

What to do? If there is a better program to convert Divx Avi's to make DVD's please tell me what it is.

    Thanks!!

    J T

  2. click the options menu (at the bottom)

    select "Preferences"

click the "..." button by the "working folder" line
(which for you will be like C:\whatever is the default..."

select your D: drive and a folder (or create one)
