I just want to record Freeview TV signals directly to an SD-Card, HDMI Out would be nice,
and time buffered recording so if I miss something I can rewind back and record like my cheapo Wharfedale DVDR with HDMI out. Take out the DVD Drive and make a Netbook Version of the DVD Recorder except theres no DVD drive, just slip in the SD-card and shuv your HDMI TV into it and away you go, record in the usual 4 quality formats LP EP SP etc and that way I can instantly edit and upload these files easily to YOUTUBE! without any need of backing up to DVDR THEN finalizeing the DVD THEN converting to some format that your video editor will like.

There must be a video gadget that can record FREEVIEW tv directly to SD card ? PLEASE PM ME KNOW IF YOU DO!
Things are much better on my planet!!

There are lcd tv's now being turned out with memory card recording feature ... one at amazon was priced at just over $700

Then there's pc based devices and Rw do not require finalizing.
