  1. Hello,

I am capturing video using an ADS instant DVD and then rendering and burning the DVD using Ulead Video Studio 6.0. Everything works great but the video takes a minimum of 6 hrs to render. Any suggestions on an alternate rendering method???

    Thanks,

what format are you capturing to?

and are you having Ulead re-encode from a non-dvd format?

You may have faster results using a third-party encoder on your source material, and make sure that you encode it to a specification that Ulead can import easily for the authoring stage.

  3. Yes, encoders such as MainConcept and CCE will encode in near real time so depending upon how much video you are encoding that could save you many hours.

As Housepig notes, you need to make sure you end up with a format your authoring product can accept without further encoding, though. That's one of the reasons I like DVDLab (which does *not* reencode anything).

Have you visited the Ulead Web site (above) to download the patches for VideoStudio 6.0?

These are said to improve rendering speed dramatically.

The patches are also available on the ADS Web site:

    Hope this helps,
