Has anyone tried the Iomega Dual +- writer?

I'm thinking of getting this.
I think it's fairly new (here in the UK).
I can't find a match on this site.

I can get it at a very good price.
It's either get the Iomega or pay £100 more and get a Sony model.

Any feedback would be useful.

According to DVDplusRW.org, this is a rebadged NEC drive.

How much does it cost and where did you find it at that price?

I've read a few 'stay away' from the NEC DVD writers post.

I'm getting it for £155 (excl VAT).

Is that a good price?

For a dual format DVD burner? Hell ya!!

I own a rebadged NEC burner myself and I never had any problem with it. Go for it...

how many rebadged Nec drive we will see ?

I have the NEC 1300 for 299$CND at my dealler.. but will not resell this drive as far as DVD-R problem isn't solved

What exactly are these problems?
Doesn't it write to any -r's?

don't like the cheap -R media... do a small search here and on the DVD Writer section on you left.
