  1. I downloaded some old Legend of Zelda episodes, and everything was great up to episode 8!

The first 8 are .mpg, while the last 5 are .avi...
When I play the .avi's, the video is UPSIDE-DOWN!!

Does anyone know how to un-reverse the image? Is there an encoder that can flip it back to normal?

    Thanks!

  2. LMAO!!!

    Sorry....that's just funny!!!

ACTUALLY...the very same thing happened to me. I used AVICodec: http://avicodec.duby.info/

This is a good one too: GSpot
    http://www.headbands.com/gspot/

I found out that I lacked the correct CODEC on my file for these type of .AVI files.....I think they were old school DIVX. I got my new CODEC and VOILA...problem solved!!! Hope that helps.

    Good luck!!

Codec error. That's been covered before on the site. Do a forum search.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.

  5. TY natebetween, I found they are DivX 3... I have Nimo's Codec Pack installed, but I guess using DivX 4 to play all DivX 3 is the problem... I'll have to change something...

and to txpharoah, sorry, I did a seach on upside down video, and nothing came up... I'll check with you before I ask anything else, so you had better look forward to million's upon millions of private messages, becuase my GF does video encodeing ALOT! (cough*ass*cough)

  8. Nimo causes LOTS of Probs!!

    Get rid of that P.O.S!!!!

AND I may be wrong....but can't you have both the OLD DIVX and NEW DIVX codecs installed at the same time?? I think I have that on my old 'puter....I'll have to check!

    Good luck!!!

  9. I've never had problems with Nimo's Codec pack...

Why do you all say it sucks? I've used it for like a year or more... I've only had to find a cracked version of the Ligoo (is that right?) after Windows XP Service Pack 1 disabled that codec.

This is the first video problem I've ever had...

Nimo does suck, as evidenced by your problem.

Specificically, you are not using the DivX 3.11 codec to play the DivX 3.11 file. That's your problem. Just because it's installed doesn't mean you are actually using it to render video.

Confused? It get's muuuuuch worse. You are only playing a video, wait until you try and encode or convert one.

As to fixing your problem: Try going into the FFDShow setup and select flip video. You will have to do this manually for different DivX issues. Joys of using WMP.

Personally I reccomend Formatting and re-installing your OS. Nimo doesn't remove itself very well. Install DivX 5, XviD latest build, FFDSHow latest build, MPEG2 codec, and assorted audio codecs including AC5.1. That's all you need. Don't install WMP9 either, or you will have problems with old DivX (audio codec problems with hacked codecs).

  11. You say I'll have problems encoding with Nimo... I have been encodeing for a year now, from AVI to MPG, and from AVI (extreamly high bitrate) to AVI (average bitrate)... Never had a problem... the only problem ever was with this latest thing, and it's because I didn't have the DivX 3.11 codec...
