    My DVD player supports it but I really don't know what it exactly means... My DVD player have 3 options: Off, SPDIF Raw or SPDIF PCM

    SPDIF is a digital audio connection.

    if you don't have an SPDIF input for your tv or your reciever, it won't do you any good.
