Well if anyone is going to help you then we need more information. What format is the file in (both video and audio). When you say you tried it in your DVD player how did you do this? Did you convert the original into a VCD or SVCD or DVD or what? What conversion process did you use? Does the disc you created play back correctly on the computer (using the disc in the computer's CD/DVD drive) or does it have the same problem as the stand alone DVD player. Did you try more than just one model/make of stand alone DVD player?

    Please be more specific.

  3. Could it be ac3 sound that was converted incorrectly? Maybe you're are only hearing 2 out of 5.1 channels of sound. That might explain the sound cutting in and out. If so, maybe try Headac3he and use the dolby surround downmix features.
    Happy to be here.

When you say you tried it in your DVD player how did you do this? I burned it.

Did you convert the original into a VCD or SVCD or DVD or what? It was already a VCD.

Did you try more than just one model/make of stand alone DVD player? Yea, the APEX 1201 and the APEX 1200.
