  1. Hello I'm pretty new at this so I took a look at your guide on how to put vcds on DVD https://www.videohelp.com/vcddvdr
I've done everythin in the guide but when I play the DVD-RW on my DVD player (Pioneer DV-444) the sound sometimes crackles( don't know the word but the sound is sorta like disturbed)
DO you know what the problem might be??

btw my DVD burner is a Compaq DVD-rom

  3. Yes I did.
Now I've noticed that many of my vids on my computer has bad crackling sound. I use Windows media player and can't download codex cause of a firewall so I've installed Nimo codex pack. Could this have something to do with it?? MAybe something went wrong in the installation process?
Many of my vids work perfectly though.

  4. Installation of extra, 3rd party codecs is not recommended.

Yes - they can lead to the kind of problems you describe.

  5. But what should I do. I can't download codex from microsoft and not by the normal way cause of my firewall. Can't remove the firewall either. Is there any good codec packs??

  6. I had this exact problem with Ulead Pictureshow 2. I made my slideshows and inserted MP3 audio that I had converted from CD using Cyberlinks MP3 plugin in window media player 9. Its a very convienent and easy way to rip your Audio CD's to your harddrive. The crackling sounds only appeared in Pictures Show and also appeared on the burned VCD, not when played in media player. When I changed my Media player MP3 plugin to use InterVideo the problem went away! Even when I played the same MP3 files I ripped with Cyberlink the crackling sound was gone???
