  1. Ok...I have a movie in DivX in awesome quality. I would like to make it into a 2-disc SVCD. I've been goofing around with TMPGEnc and all the quality settings, but cannot come up with good settings for it. I was wondering if someone could help me out with good settings using maybe CQ (constant quality) or something to that effect in order to make this fit to 2 discs. The movie is 136 mins. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!

if you have divx - i assume you must also have the dvd or you should check the rules of the forum ...

if you have the dvd -- you would get better quality to convert to svcd from the dvd ..

lots of guides to do so on the left ..

I use TMPGEnc and 2-pass VBR to get the best quality and most time on each disk. 136 minutes is a little much for 2 disks in SVCD for my preference, the bitrate will be too low. You could try 2 disks at CVD resolution , 352x480. Make it an Mpeg2 and burn it as an SVCD, it's compatible with many players as it is a valid DVD resolution. The lower resolution would probably be better for the bitrate that you will be using.
