    Hello, A co-worker is looking for a dual proccessor p4 (northridge?) motherboard. I'm assuming the northridge is the latest build of the p4's and he wants a dual proccessor (not xeon) motherboard that can proccess his videodata fast, expense isnt really a matter. Anyone have any suggestions??

    I dont think they make SMP P4. I know they make SMP Pentium 3 Xeons but Ive never heard of P4 SMP. Maybe a 3.06 P4 Xeon will do SMP but they cost $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

    The only P4 that I know of that offers SMP is Xeon. There are plenty of systems out there. If price is not a problem (like you said) then pick up a dual P4Xeon and be the fastest kid on the block.
    Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?

    I wonder if your co-worker wouldn't get better performance out of a single processor with the fastest frontside dual DDR he could get?
    Just what is this reality thing anyway?
