problems ripping 8 mile

Just got 8 mile dvd and would like to back it up but cannot rip it to my hard drive.

I usually use smartripper but have also tried dvd decrypter and claddvd
but both get stuck on the 3rd vob.

Any Ideas??

The dvd plays great on my standalone but isn`t so good on the pc.

Is there any different protection on this disc?

polish and clean the surface of the disk ... very well then rip if any errors cancel and continue then when finish polish the DVd again and rip only the files with problems
