  1. I have a homemade DVD that will play on my computer from Nero Show Time.

DVD Decrypter and Imgburn and DVDFabDecrypter say that the disk is empty.

Any ideas why they can't see it?

Virtual Dub and the computer doesn't see the files on the DVD drive either.

Let me get out my crystal ball a second seeing as you have given little to no useful information......

Was this homemade dvd recorded on a standalone dvd recorder ??

I have to "assume" it was not finalized which is why your PC drive does not recognize it as having any data, which is common when people use SA's and do not finalize the disc after recording, among other things.

  3. Sorry, yes, it was a homemade DVD made on the same computer that I'm now trying to get to play it. (Guess that's why they call this the Newbie Forum)

It was sent to someone, they played it on a DVD player (worked) and then sent it back. Now I'd like to rip it back to my computer

I've tried GSpot as well and it doesn't see it either.

What confuses me is that it will play as a DVD.
