  1. How do I correct or edit something that is now in .mpg2 format? The original .avi source has been deleted - I needed the space on my drive. Is there an good editor for .mpg2 files? Or do I need to "re-convert" it back to .avi to do the editing? If so, how do I do that? Thanks.

  2. it depends on what do you mean by editing
    cutting something out?
    adding a transition?

editing mpeg2 is not a good idea (in most cases),
you cant cut it where you want, i think it has something to do with the gop.

but if you have no choice, you can do it.
cut it using tmpeg (mpeg tools).

    you cant add transitions

    hope it helps...

  3. Thanks for the reply. I guess I need to change it back into an .avi file. What is the best way (e.g. program) for doing that?
