  1. When I want to make a backup of my backup dvd's, does it matter if I use disk copy in toast or should I copy the audio and video TS folder's and use the dvd feature of toast? Is either method equal in keeping the quality or is one better than the other? Should I use the same media as the original backup? Thank you in advance for any help.

you can just use dvd back up on the already dvd-r movie.

it will work fine, just like when you did the origional backup.

    Other methods will work also:
    1. drag and copy
    2. Toast save as disk image to .toast

As for media it won't matter if it is the same as the original. As long as it has the same amount of free space it should work fine.

You can use either disc copy in Toast, Disk Copy in CD/DVD Master mode, or just drag the VIDEO_TS folder (along with others if you want) from the DVD-R to your HD, and drag it to Toast in DVD mode, after making and naming a new DVD in Toast. I usually make a new folder on the target HD with the DVD's name, drag the DVD's VIDEO_TS and other folders to it, and then drag the folder to Toast's window in DVD mode. No need to use DVD Backup or any such tools, as there is no more encryption. Type of media is inconsequential.
I like systems, their application excepted. (George Sand, translated from French), "J'aime beaucoup les systèmes, le cas d'application excepté."

    I agree (well mostly )

You can pretty much do any method you want for copying a copy, since its already been decrypted.

I still think dvdbackup is an excellent option, especially since it will do exactly what you want, back up the dvd.

who cares if its already been backup'ed, it will just copy it exactly to your hd.

But yes, all the method mentioned will work.
