  1. have some problems when playing a burned dvd after authoring with ulead dvd moviefactory...

    ok.
followed the guide here on how to convert my movies from 41khz to 48khz using tmpgenc,, had no problems with that... when i then played the files after they got converted to 48khz it played as good as it can get using WMP, no video/audio problems at all... now, i loaded the movies i converted to 48khz and chose MPEG-audio in ulead dvd moviefactory as it says in the guide,, then burned the movie,, after the movies got burned I loaded the dvd-rw in my dvd-player and got audio-sync problems,, meaning the audio wasnt in-sync with their mouths... then i tried burning using LPCM-audio with ulead dvd-moviefactory and same problem occured,,, has anyone else had this problem and is there any way to get around this??

    TIA

  2. Are you making a VCD or DVD? VCD is 44KHz. I use Ulead MF2 to make VCD's with no problems so far. Haven't tried DVD's yet. Did you check the "Don't convert compliant files" option? IF your video file is already in the corret format (DVD or VCD) then MF2 should just burn it with out altering it.

  3. Question: Did you check the video file before burning to see if it was in sync? Then check your times, Look in the working directory of MF2 and see if any files show up in the converted directory.

I more or less use the guide from here to put VCDs on DVD too....

I did two (2) dvds last night, they've (VCDs) been building up on the computer as I converted them over a period of several days.... As I set up batch conversion in TMPGenc set to turn off the computer when finished with the overnight run.

I started the process of burning at about 11:50. IE Menus all set up ready to go. DVDMF2 then finalized etc. and started burning. Finished at 12:30 2.4X DVD+R media.

So once the menu structure was done, MF2 took about 15 minutes to set up the proper DVD Structure and start burning.

The results were tested and looked ok. Do your times runn approx the same. I noticed that if the video is off spec and MF2 has to convert then quality is variable. By off spec. I'm guessing that something isn't right in terms of fram rate , bit rate etc.

Every now and then I see it converting some of the files. Then it takes much longer.

    Good Luck

  4. One other thought, I haven't tried it with VCDs yet, But it works with DVB video after DVDPatcher.

TMPGenc DVD Author 30 day trial. Not fancy, But very fast. Much faster than MF2 with the same DVB files.

With DVD Author I just patch the first header to DVD Spec and load all the DVB Videos...
Close it, Repatch back to DVB (544 by 480).
Reload DVD Author, Set my Start & End points for each flic... Set chapter points ( I can see the video in this program, wheras in MF2 I can olny set auto chapters as the video shows black).

save it just in case. Select output and then use Nero to burn to DVD.

It even loads much faster than MF2, responds much faster. But menu structure is basic.

But free 30 day trial so give it a try not to much to loose especially if you use a RW DVD for testing.

    Cheers
