In the previous versions of DVD-lab I was able to import .VOB files which I had trimmed with ChopperXP. When I try doing the same thing in version 1.3 BETA 1 I get an error message when I try compiling. It says: Errors have been detected in source files.

    Then the compile log says:

    *** DVDLIB Verification Log ***
    8 - 12 - 2003 -- 18:40:56

    Error 1
The input VOB file starts at non-zero reference clock time (SCR) in Title 1

I've tried to figure out how to change the value in VOBEdit but I am most definitely not a programmer and am totally lost as to how to go about it. Can anyone help with that or is it even possible? Thanks for any help!!

Okay, I think I've solved the problem!!!

In VOBEdit I opened the VOB file that I had trimmed and was unable to use in ver. 1.3 BETA. In the left pane I left clicked on the top line: ([Navigation Pack] [VOB: 1]) to choose it. Then in the right pane I double-clicked on the line: SCR (System clock reference). This brought up a dialog box with -among other things- the Hex reference numbers for the clock reference values. These are 6 2-digit numbers. I changed the value of each of these to zero. When I closed VOBEdit these values were saved.

When I imported the file into DVD-Lab I chose:
Use it directly without Demultiplexing. In the past when I chose to have DVD-Lab do the multiplexing I've had problems with the audio not showing up when I compiled.

Now when I compile it says that there is no error and it works fine. One small problem is that when I burn the disc (in DVD-Lab or with Nero) it doesn't play properly in PowerDVD but works just fine in both of my stand alone players. I can live with that. However, if someone can explain why this is happening I'd appreciate it.

I've tested it on two different files and it's worked on both of them.

I hope this helps the rest of you.

  3. It looks like your VOB problem has been solved in the next BETA release!

Version 1.3 BETA 2 (in development)
    - fixed VOB joining
    - improved reading DTS informations in assets
    - the compile will not abort if an error is found during verification, just the log will be displayed but it will continue
