    ok i'm trying to convert an audio sample from an avi. reading the instructions on the webpage it says i can convert it to mp3 to save space ? is it better if i keep the audio in wav or is mp3 ok ?

    Well, it depends what you shall do with the audio file. If you are going to burn it as a cd audio use wav. If you are just going to have it on your computer use mp3(use a higher bitrate for higher quality).
