I don't know if anyone else has had problems but I have with the hardware and software in the subject area.
For some reason, at exactly 15 seconds into a burn with Nero (5.5.10.28) the computer just locks up completely. It doesn't do it with DVD-RWs.
But, I've since tried VSO's COPYTODVD software and had no problems at all. In fact, it even recorded at 2x despite the discs supposedly not being so.

Hi,
Try disable the DMA option of the DVDwriter and see if this helps you.
If you are in need for speed enable it before u use i.e a dvdripper.
Hope this helps you
Greetzzz Danny...Ever deleted a file and 5 minutes later banging your head on your desk for doing that...???
