Hi folks, I'm a 'newb' and this is my first post. I have been furiously reading this incredible site for the past week...I LOVE IT!
-My question is quite off-topic, but I figured what the heck,

Here goes, I want to paint my monitor and DVD writer bezel, among other things, to match my new PC case & keyboard which are both black. Has anyone done this successfuly? Can anyone give me some advice on prep and product used? Maybe point me to site with info?
_thanks in advance to any and all who reply.

I think if you search the internet you should be able to find examples of other people doing this.

I've only done stuff with cars, but I imagine that it would be easier to do a bezel, just remember to remove it first. I would not attempt to paint DVD-ROM parts with them still attached to the device.

Just make sure that the paint you buy is OK for plastic. Stuff from the auto parts store made for plastic should work just fine. Having said all of this when I painted my bumper (junkyard procured bumper for $40) I used regular enamel that costs $1 can from the Wal-Mart hardware department and it works just fine. Only problem was when I got hit again all the paint on my bumper cracked and the whole thing needs to be repainted yet again!
