  1. Hi guys, i am having this strange problem, i was using Geforce GTX 260 SLI before, it did'nt have hdmi option so i was connecting my lcd via DVI, now recently i got meself an HD 6950 2gb card and i plan to crossfire it but here is the problem, whenever i connect my lcd via hdmi to hdmi i get huge black borders on all 4 sides of my monitor screen and no matter what i do, change resolution etc, the borders don't go away but if i connect it with DVI then everything is fine. Since its an lcd there is no option to manually set the display picture.
My LCD is Dell ST2420L, its full hd and i always run it at max resolution, ie. 1080p.

I don't know what the problem is but recently i was going through my ati catalyst application and i glimpsed at a page that i may think has something to fix the problem, is it the right one or am i missing something?

and one last thing that i failed to mention before is that the hdmi cable i am using is a non branded one and on packaging it says 1.3b Cable.

Maybe this will work: Open the AMD Vision Engine Control Center. Click on "My Digital Flat Panels" and "HDTV Support (Digital Flat-Panel)". Choose the item from the list at the bottom of the page that is the best match to the native resolution and frequency for your monitor, then click the "Add" button. A new window will appear that allows you to adjust the size of the picture to fill the TV screen. The horizontal and vertical dimensions can be adjusted independently.
