  1. I have Real Player and Classic Player that plays fine on my primary monitor. As soon as I drag the player onto the secondary monitor, the video screen goes black. If I drag the playing video half on the secondary monitor and half on the primary monitor, the primary monitor shows up fine and the secondary half of the video is black. Same if I expand it to full screen on the secondary monitor. I'm running this on Win2k and using a Benq FP567s LCS screen. The hardware acceleration is Full and turning it down does not solve the problem. WMV video plays fine on the secondary monitor using other video players. The problem is just with Real Player. I am using the latest Real Player.

If dropping your hardware acceleration down doesn't help, it may be a player setting. Some players have overlay settings, like VLC.

Or there may be a video card setting that will work for overlay adjustments.

What's your video chip? With my ATI and Catalyst drivers I can set 'Theater Mode' which allows overlay to appear on the secondary. If you're adjusting 'Acceleration' in Desktop -> Properties -> Settings you might try adjusting it in DXDiag instead. Just my two cents worth of things that have worked for me.
