I've converted a movie using tmpge, I'm using vcd easy and nero to burn to vcd I've done alot of films up to now and never had this problem plenty of others but never had a choppy film once I got to disk. Then to top it off it will go bad in different spots, and to clarify and be exact.
used tmpge to encode , encoded product plays fine on computer
vcdeasy and nero to burn to cd , final product will be smooth for about first half of movie all the time (so far anyways) but sometime after about half way or 2/3 way through the movie it will go bad getting choppy and jerky doing weirdness with the video sound gets whacked out also.
film is 352x240 23.976
994 average bitrate
Like I said I can burn it one time and it will be fine till say the 2 to last chapter then start messing up other times it might be 3 to 5 chapters before the end, has not started going bad in the same place twice yet.
also I usually burn at 12x and never had this problem but since I have gone down to 6x after reading thats a possible fix but to no avail, still messed up and at different spots just like before, any suggestions would be appreciated.

few ideas...
* Try different CDR media and burning even slower
* Check the bitrate isn't going too high or too low for your dvd player
* Dirty dvd lens? Get a lens cleaner
