  1. Illegal floating decimal
    Just started to back up my matrix dvd, ripped fine created project file fine, converted audio fine, started to encode the video but after about 8% it stops saying there is an illegal floating decimal point???

    Any ideas?

    If you are talking about TMPGEnc, could this be your problem?
    If TMPGEnc freezes or crashes when converting or you receive errors such as
    Unexpected decimal point calculation
    Illegal floating decimal point calculation order
    Try first to change the directshow codec reader priority settings in TMPGEnc under Option->Environmental settings->VFAPI plug-in and right click on the DirectShow Multimedia File Reader and increase the priority to 1 or 2 or to the top of plugin-list and try open the video.
    Or try to convert the audio to wav before converting(If you have problems extracting the audio using Virtualdub try use Goldwave or AVI2WAV).
    Or try to repair the AVI,DivX or the ASF.
    Or try to use avidefreezer to fix your video source.

    Thats is what msg I get and ive tried with the directshow codec reader priority set to 1 and 2 (its the highest priority)
    Im only converting the video, ive done the audio seperate
    still getting the same problem!!

    Any help anyone??
