  1. I was wondering if anyone could help with the issues that I seem to be having. I've successfully burned about 60 dvd’s. The most common way that I use is to rip the disc with DVD Decrypter and then either burn it with the same program if it’s a single layer or I use Instant Copy to burn it after compressing it. I burned Band Of Brothers and discs 1-5 were fine. I tried disc 6 (the extras) and it’s errors out in the same place every time. I tried using SmartRipper and got the same issue. I noticed that the disc had a player program on it that came up with a self install every time I inserted into my drive. I’m not sure if this is causing the issue or not. Any help on this or should I just try another copy of it?

Another issue that I seem to keep having is that ever since I encountered the problem above, I seem to keep finding instances with discs that it will error out on me for no reason. Both programs will do it. Either DVD Decrypter will when I’m ripping or Instant Copy will when it’s re-encoding. I’ve considered uninstalling Instant Copy and re-installing it to see if that solves my problem. The problem mostly occurs with Instant Copy. If the program errors in DVD Decrypter I usually chalk it up to dirt or a scratch on the disc. When this errors in Instant Copy I am totally clueless why and am seeking your help for it.

The version of DVD Decrypter that I am running is 3.1.4.0 and I am running Instant Copy 7 or higher. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  2. What's the Error message?

  3. To be honest I'm not sure. I think it was just a general "Error in copy process" type error message. I know, pretty stupid of me not to know the exact text of the error. The next time it happens I'll be sure to write it down. I know it's not a locked VOB type of message. When I try Smart Ripper with Band Of Brothers Disc 6 it just stops and freezes up. The drive keeps spinning at erratic speeds and nothing happens. I let it go for about ten minutes before ending the program. I never got an error message.

The IC meesage I'm not sure what it says so I'll have to write it down or do a screen capture of the error message.
