burning troubles on the back end

As a newbie in the burning world I have run into one common problem with a lot of my burns. When burning from avi to dvd the last few minutes of most of my burns are garbled. the vast majority of the videos are good, only the last 5 to 10 minutes hangs up. Disk or software? Anything else? Thanks for the help.

Many of us at this website would blame the disk if it is just the last few minutes of the movie every time.

First try a different brand of blank discs.

If that doesn't work try encoding your disc at less than full capacity.

The ends of discs can sometimes be a problem area on some brands. Try these steps and see if that prevents the problems. Good luck.
