Apex Bin/Cue playing problem

Evening all, I have an Apex AD-800 which plays pretty well everything I toss in it except bin/cue files. I have burned these with both Nero and VCDEasy so I doubt the software is the problem. When I put the disc in it accepts it no problem, reports that it's SVCD and then when you'd expect a menu to pop up it just goes to a black screen with zeros in the time window. Pressing play, menu etc does nothing. Anything I can try or is this just not meant to be?? Thanks!

This is what you have to do:

Open VCD Gear and convert the cue/bin to mpeg, then open Nero and select SVCD and burn that mpeg.

I had the same problem with my old APEX.

As I have stated many times... Apex's aren't really "that" good... especially if good PBC compatibility is important to you.

Yes but thankyou Apex for driving the price point down so that we can have quality product at sub $100 price points. Still no answer to your problem but I had to chime in.
