How do I fix DIVX movies where the video gets stuck on a fra

I'm trying to send a DIVX movie thru my video-out to the VCR, but the film keeps stopping at a frame, while the audio continues to play... then if I fast-forward the divx in WMP6.4 a bit, it plays then hangs again on another frame.

I tried DivFix to try to correct it, but it didn't help.
What are my other options to fix divx movies... is there something that can find these bad frrames and erase/fix them?

When I try to open the avi file in VirtualDub, it opens fine. But if I check that little box that says rederive keyframe flags, I get the following error

"VideoSourceAVI (ICDecompress) error: unspecified error -1100"

it wont fix the movie, buuuuuut. you can download divx anti-freeze, i think you can get it at http://www.doom9.net

its like a fixed divx codec er something, it does work tho.

Why is it that every movie I download from Morpheus (divx) seems to have frozen frames?
Also, is there an easy way to find our where these frames are without actually playing the entire movie?

If you continue a download that is why you loss the frames MyNapster did that but now it doesn't. When I downloaded Freddy Got Fingered it had broken frames from stopping the transfer so I redownloaded it with out stopping it and it played fine.
