    I need to cut the credits off an episode of the sopranos...how can i achieve this? would it be easier to re-encode? thanks for the help!

    if it really matters to you that much, heres my suggestion:
    use DivX Doctor 2 to convert avi-->mov. use quicktime pro to cut that section out, and export as avi. without pro, you would have to use a different path.
