Are you using the audio sync check when you are encoding your files? Its only available when you are in manual mode, not in wizard mode. This option will more than double the time of encoding, but will stop any audio sync issues your having. Search the TMPGenc help files for this feature if your not aware of it. It should explain what it does and how to use it.

  4. Nib,

    Did this fix your problem?

I'm having a similar problem with demuxing a TV video capture with TMPGEnc. Audio out of sync. Wonder if the "sync audio" feature is the way to go, or if I've got an NTSC vs. PAL issue. My video seems to be running too fast, which leads me to believe I chose the wrong format...

    Thanks,
    Eph

You can use avicodec to find out what kind of format the tv show is in. It can handle avi and mpg files. When you load the film it will tell you he resolution, bitrate, fps, etc. It is available in the tools section of this web page under other useful tools. Also where is the audio sync function in TMPG. I searched the help files and came up with nothing.

  7. FYI, I gave up on the TMPGenc/IFOEdit method.

Found Ulead's Movie Factory 2.0 does EXACTLY what I want all-in-one.
Even provides an automated way to add a menu with chapter selection capabilty.

    Very nice.
