It's seem a basic problem, but I can't find any topic about it.

I just only need to calculate the bitrate to match a DIVX file size.

I'm using DIVX 5.0.2 PRO codec and I've tried 1 pass, 2 pass, differents settings, different bitrate calculators, etc. but finally I've got to make some test before I can get what I'm looking for.
The final bitrate (average?) never match codec setting.

I know it's easier with fixed bitrate, but I don't know how to configure the codec.

    THANKS!

  2. have you tried google? there are more bitrate calcs for divx than you could need. i would suggest learning to use gordian knot if for nothing but a calculator. you must also take into account using pro mpeg4 tools will result in filesize fluctuations bframes come to mind. if your wanting info on divx i may suggest looking at http://www.divx.com .... just a thought..

I'll take a look. Maybe I have to try another DIVx codec? Which ones?

There is only DivX 5 if you want to be compatable. You can run 3.11 (bugged/hacked) or 4.x (low usage).

Qre you allowing for your audio? you do realize that Audio is not part of the DivX bitrate calcualtion? You really don't need a calculator, just a hand calculator p

I use Nandub for DivX encoding and if you go to Video>SBC Option>BitRate Calculator ... there you can set filesize and it'll set the bitrate for you.
