xvid with ffmpeg using mencode

i cant seem to get this working properly. i get the followin error

any ideas?

someone from another forum told me that it looked like i was using a new version of mencoder, and that it wouldnt work with the current ffmpeg. i really dont know if this is true, but if it is, where can i find older versions of mencoder. or if anyone has this working, could they explain whats going wrong?

Use the mencoder binary located inside this application package (ctrl-click the Mencoder application icon, select 'Open application package' then find the binary inside the Contents/Resources folder).
