  1. i have a DVD file (MPG) which i want to compile to a DVD stracture with DVD Lab Pro.
and since DVD Lab Pro does not support non-elementary files as input - i had to click "Yes" when it asked me if i want to demux the input file to an elementary files.

so after makin' menus and such i clicked "Compile DVD" and the compiling process goes well but stucks little before its end...
this is the massage it's showing me when the process stucks:

now what i dont understand is:
how can it be? the program itself demuxed my file!
    what is it all about?

    by-the-way,
whenever i open this project this pops up:

i dont know if it has something to do with my problem but anyway - what is that mean?

    any help appreciated!!!
    Thank you!

Where did your source come from ? How was it encoded ?

Try demuxing with PGCDemux first, then using the streams in DLP.

If you encoded the file yourself, what did you use ? Not all programs create truly compliant material - WinAVI, for instance.

it come from a video camera,
i took my video camera to a Photo shop and he burned all its content to two DVD-R's.
so i copied the first DVD-R to my PC, demuxed it to M2V and AC3 files with PGCDemux, but then, i relized it will be much more easier for me to edit the video when it's non-elementary files (some guy from the forum adviced me to), so i muxed it to MPG file with ImagoMPEG-Muxer, i segmented the parts i wanted to author, then i'm coming to author it with DLP... the rest of the story is known...

    Rejig can demux mpg files.

I would try going back to the originals, then using VOB2MPG to get the mpg file. Edit the mpeg file with a good mpeg editor (I like Womble Mpeg Wizard), then demux and author.

I suspect your current problems come from either the way you remuxed, or the way you cut the file up.

  6. guns1inger,
i dont have the original DVD-R anymore (it took a plan along with my friend to out of Israel) but what i do have is the elementary streams i demuxed from the origin source (from the DVD-R's) with PgcDemux - i hope it is not what's causing the problem.

anyway - i muxed the elementary streams (M2V & AC3) again with ImagoMPEG-Muxer (could it be the cause?) and used Womble Mpeg Wizard (great tool by-the-way, thanks!) to cut un-wanted video parts and to make one big MPG file (3.71 GB weight, 01:48:49 long) but this time, i used Rejig to demux the MPG file to M2V and AC3 files.
i loaded the new elementary streams (video & audio) overwrite the streams in the DLP project.

i got the same two massages...
about the open GOP (what?) and the Compiler Error...

    i'm so desperate!

anyway, here's the log - in case it can be useful...

when it gets to the last line it says "Aborted" in the Copmile section...
and this annoying Compiler Error shown...
and! it always stucks in the same log line (case its important)...

thanks again... and sorry for the big bother...
