I can not burn the movie Click, I have run DVD Fab decrypter already three times. But I always get stuck with DVD Shrink, it does not let me do it. Any suggestions? Is there any other free software. Thank you.

After you ripped with dvdfab decrypter try run fixvts on the video_ts folder.
You can also try RipIt4Me.

After DvdDecrypter finishes the initial rip using the supplied PSL, RipIt4Me scans for and fixes a variety of problems, using internal code. In the case of the "Click" dvd, RipIt4Me removes more than 200 cells and 2 entire VTSs that were in the initial rip that DvdDecrypter produces.
Finally, at least in terms of the ripping, RipIt4Me uses FixVTS to clean, repair, and remap the contents of the "second level" rip provided by RipIt4Me's internal processing.
While DvdDecrypter is an essential component of RipIt4Me, it takes a lot of work, after DvdDecrypter has done all it can, to produce a clean, shiny rip that DvdShrink won't choke on.

I actually tried it last night. rip4me on click
decrypter bombed out half way through. I clicked on "retry" and it finished. Haven't tested the resulting rip yet.
I have noticed a few problems using rip4me, fixvts and shrink
The one I hate the most is subtitles poping up as default instead of turned off. I always keep the subtitles.

Call me strange.
After testing I decided to start using RipIt4Me even though I do not really need it for most of my DVDs as I tend to like older stuff. I decided because it makes it easy to go to the main menu on the DVD when it I put the DVD in the player after ripping and burning.
It will keep me from steaming over a inability to just put the DVD in and start watching the show..
Rip with RipIt4Me
Titlewriter the rip
shrink if needed
burn
watch the new purchase with no restrictions.
All the cow pies at the start of a DVD before I ever get to what I got the DVD to watch just aggravate me enough that half the time I turn the (*&%#)'ing thing off instead of watching.
I have patience if it is needed due to no way to hurry things along. However I paid for the DVD give me and my remote full control. DVRs the only way to watch TV, Skip adverts, instant replay, slo-mo fwd & reverse, No more what'd they say?

stiltman,
Since "Click" didn't give any errors of any kind when I used RipIt4Me on it, I'm curious. Do you remember what the error message said that DvdDecrypter put up (when you clicked "Retry")? Also, you said you used the "One-Click" mode, but you didn't mention whether you were using "Full DVD", "Movie+Menus", or "Movie Only".
The one I hate the most is subtitles poping up as default instead of turned off.

TBoneit,
You may already be aware of this, but just to make sure...you can use the "Jump to PGC Upon DVD Insert" function in PgcEdit to go straight to the menu, if you think RipIt4Me is too much club for your lie.
Before RipIt4Me added that feature, I would blank the garbage using VobBlanker to minimize the dvd's footprint, and then use the PgcEdit "Jump to..." function to skip over the blanked material for the quickest display of the menu. Here's a guide if you're interested.
If you don't mind me asking, what is it that you're doing with Titlewriter? For the life of me, I can't figure out why it appears to be part of your normal backup process.

In the past, i never had problem with subtitles when using decrypter and shrink/recode 2
It's something rip4me has introduced (I think) or it could just be the layout of the DVD

I successfully copied the full disc by using dvdfabdecrypter and fixvts .
Believing yourself to be secure only takes one cracker to dispel your belief.

stiltman,
I didn't really think it would be that easy. If you'd like to pursue the problem, posting the log from DvdDecrypter would probably shed some light on what's happening.

You know what I'm not rich either, however I think I paid under $400 and at <$1 per disk for the player it is cheap insurance against damage and works really great for episodic discs since you can load the whole set, play a episode and then play something else without removing the disc.
About Titlewriter from the description here: Titlewriter is a program to used to add DVD_TEXT, and (Re)Add Original or Generic Menus to Dvd Compiliations (Specifically designed for DVDShrink reauthored mode Compiliations). DVD_TEXT is almost a requirement for dvd jukebox players internal menu systems and only about 13% of commercial disks contain it. If you ever get a jukebox and haven't been titlewriting you'll find out what a pain you're in for.
It adds about 30 seconds to the process then I'm sure any discs that may go in the Sony will be ready.
As for the jukebox being expensive I paid less for it than I paid for my original DVD Burner, a Sony DRU500a when they first came out. And not a lot more than I paid for my first CD burner. The first HP Model that had a IDE interface so I could skip buying a SCSI card and burner. Those first models were expensive. I believe it was a whopping 2X Cd burner that too 37 minutes or so for a full disc.
OTOH I'm a tech junkie and my car looks like it. I run them until the wheels all fall off at the same time. My last car before this one was a 1963 Studebaker Gran Turismo Hawk, the one with the long hood. If interested you can find pictures of what it looked like (not the same car but same model and color, the gold colored one at http://oldcarandtruckpictures.com/Studebaker/Hawk.html
Cheers

TBoneit,
Thank you for the additional information. The first google hit for a 400 dvd changer was one straight from sony for under $400. The top of my christmas list now says "400 dvd changer". I have also saved this thread (with your information) in a directory named "xmas_morning_howto". Hey...is that reindeer hooves I hear on the roof?

Avigran, Use dvd fab decrypter to decrypt the movie. Then use dvd decrypter from the dvd fab temp folder. Then use dvd shrink 3.2...that worked for me....but if you can't get it to work then I can snail mail you a copy of the full dvd at no charge to you.
Sorry dvd dude Not over seas.....canada and the united states only!Man do I ever enjoy doing what I do best!
