Hi,
I am having a problem with DVD shrink.
The response I receive is : Invalid DVD Navigation Structure. Overlapped I/O Operation in progress.
I have read the help pages on DVDShrink and also there are some very interesting articles on another forum, digital digest which does list this error.
The problem I find is that Decrypter handles the DVD fine, no errors. So whether I copy from files on my HD or directly from the DVD, Shrink gives the same error.
I have enabled and disabled the I/O overlap setting and this doesn't resolve the problem.
By the same token, DVDClone will handle the DVD fine, the only problem here is that when I burn the DVD it is not playable on all players in the same way as Shrink. I use Datawrite Titanium. To this point I prefer to use Shrink. I've also tried running the completed DVD from Clone back onto Shrink, but the problem persists.
I'm confident it is not a protected disc since the disc I'm working with is a DVD-R.
I want to retain all menus ... any suggestions
Any ideas?
Also curious to know how anyone else feels about Datawrite Titanium, their older discs seemed to play on all players, however a new batch doesn't, so I'm wondering if they have changed something .... any suggestions for a miracle disc which will work on all players?

Download the latest freeware DVD FAB DECRYPTER which you will use to rip the files to your hard drive. Then use DVD SHRINK to create a ISO IMAGE then burn with DVD DECRYPTER or IMG BURN.

rip withthe latest (and I mean latest) DVD Fab Decrypter. This is updated very regularly, so always download a new version if you hit trouble.
AnyDVD is good, and has some nice features that other software doesn't have. But it isn't free.Read my blog here.

The only things I can think of that may help is to try either IFOEdit's Get VTS Sectors, FixVTS or maybe even IFOUpdate. No guarantees though. If you really wanted to get your hands dirty then PGCEdit or DVDRemake could probably assist you with tracking down the error in the current structure. If in doubt, Google it. -
I tried running IFO update. The response I get from Shrink is :
Invalid date in file .... \video_ts\vts_01_1.VOB
I haven't a clue ! -
I also have received the same message "Invalid date in file .... \video_ts\vts_01_1.VOB" not sure what it is......

If it's a single layered DVD-R, there's no need for DVD Shrink. Rip it with DVD Decrypter in the "ISO Read" mode. Then, change it over to "ISO Write" mode and write the resulting ISO file to a blank DVD-R.
I get Invalid DVD Navigation Structure errors usually from discs burned on standalone DVD recorders. The ISO Read / Write mode of DVD Decrypter copies the disc as written (even with these supposed errors) and will give you an exact copy. If the original works, the copy made in this mode should work, too.
