Too many component wires to hook up, not enough inputs.
My Panasonic 47WX49 only has 2 component inputs. One is being used for my cable box for HD and the other for my Sony DVP-NC655P
The problem is, I have 2 other pieces of harware to hook up via component, but no more inputs.S-Video is not cutting it for the other 2 and wish to hook them up via component.

Can anyone direct me to a good Y, Pb, Pr 2 video switcher or some other way of hooking up 4 components via ..... component wires.
I dont want to get to crazy in price though.Just somethng that can get the job done.

    Thank you both!
I will try the Radio Shack one first since it is about 100 yds away from me and if that dont work as I see fit, then the one from TigerDirect will be ordered.

Thank you both again for the easy replies!

    Eyedoctor2,
    Works like a charm!
I am very amazed that composite inputs will work with component.
Now just need to find the cure to my static garbage.

    Thanks for the help!

I have no complaints against the Radio Shack switcher. Works very well. But the other I linked to has a remote control, which I really appreciate. RS doesn't know their switcher can be used for component, or they would probably rename it and increase the price. It's still a good buy, though. And getting harder to find. Bottom line: Component is not extremely high frequency. It can be cleanly switched in a reasonably made switcher. You can try a $100+ unit, but I really doubt you will see any difference in quality. Eyedoctor2,
Yes, having an issue with static of some sort.

    redwudz,
I was going to go with the one you linked to if this one didnt work.Glad it did though. The RS guy had like 3 left and then had 2 of the 5/1 automatic switcher ( what ever unit turns on, it switches automatically ).That one was $50 but I didnt have the cash nor my CC so went with the $20

This thing really saves me though.I hated to have to use S-Video or composit when I could be using better.

    Thanks again both of you!

  9. The same post I referred to earlier https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=284038&highlight=eyedoctor2

has a link to a cable manufacturer that I highly recommend.

You may want to try changing the cable that connects the tv to the switch box with an upgraded one to see if it helps.

Other option is to buy a good quality cable locally to see if it makes a difference so that you can return it if it doesn't.

    good luck
