    I just finished upgrading my rig including clean install of Windows. I have the latest build of SVCD2DVD. The application immediately closes after the spalsh screen is displayed. No error message received or event logged in Event Viewer. Not experiencing this behavior with any other application. Assistance kindly requested.

    Did you reinstall SVCD2DVD?
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

    Ok. Can you please drop me an email and I'll try to get to the bottom of this?

    Yes, reinstalled. Since I did a clean install of Windows on a new drive, I also reinstalled all applications.

    I now see that I have .net framework 1.1 and 2.0. Maybe that's part of the problem?

  9. try uninstalling 2.0. Unfortuntely, SVC2DVD won't work with it yet. You may want to remove both versions, then reinstall 1.1, just to make sure nothing got corrupted.
    That should fix it

    Ok, I uninstalled 1.1 and 2.0; reinstalled 1.1 and the applicable SP1 for net framework. Tried to open SVCD2DVD and again, only got as far as the splashscreen. After displaying for a couple of seconds, it appears to minimize to the taskbar, but it's not there, nor the system tray. Looked in Process Explorer and see no instance of it running.

    Looks like we're back to square 1.

  11. hmm...the only thing I could think of now would be possibly try un/re-installing S2D now that you have the framework part put back in solidly. I'm sure ChrissyBoy may have some ideas too.
