Hi all my versions are coming up with missing dlls i grabbed 2.5 but am getting the following trying to install it moduleC:\program files\badgerit\svcd2dvd v2.5\code-lock.ocx failed to register. hresult-2147024770. contact your support personnel.
i have removed both 2.1 and 1.5 and they will not install now either
any ideas?

What happens if you type the following in a command prompt:

regsvr32 "C:\program files\badgerit\svcd2dvd v2.5\code-lock.ocx"

Just a wild guess, do you have the .NET Framework installed? (Probably version 2.0). If it is, it should be listed in Add/Remove Programs. If it isn't, you need to get it from Microsoft. In theory, during installation of the main program, it should detect if the .NET Framework is present or not and download it if needed.

So regsvr32 "C:\program files\badgerit\svcd2dvd v2.5\code-lock.ocx" gives "specified module could not be found" even though "C:\program files\badgerit\svcd2dvd v2.5\code-lock.ocx" exists?

If this is the case then chances are that you haven't got the VB runtime installed...

Can you search your PC for a file called: MSVBVM60.DLL

If you don't have it then you are missing the visual basic runtime… you can get it from here:

install that then reinstall S2D.

that nailed it, many thanks the visual basic runtime did the trick, no idea how the proggy worked fine before then gave up. in any case thank you all very much, it is appreciated
