Hi,
When I rip my Blu-ray movies, I convert DTS-HD Master Audio to DTS core, and then to AC3 at 640 kbps. It sounds perfect on my Samsung soundbar. However, when I extract the AC3 track from, say, a TrueHD stream, or convert TrueHD to AC3 at 640 kbps (using a tool like HandBrake) the audio sounds very flat and lacks dynamics compared to the AC3 I create from DTS.
Am I doing something wrong, or is it the soundbar that’s unable to reproduce it properly?
I assume that, in their original form, TrueHD and DTS should sound equally good, right?![]()
