okay yesterday i converted a 697mb avi file into a mpeg using a AVI TO svcd, vcd, dvd and then later used TMPGENC DVD AUTHOR to convert the MPEG file into VOB,BUP,IFO files and then finally burned it on to a DVD...now the problem is that after a while in the movie the audio doesnt keep up with the LIP MOVEMENT of the character and the audio goes to fast....can someone plz tell me how to avoid that problem in future conversions...i will really appreciate ur help!!

can the problem be because i added chapters and menu to the MPEG FILE using DVD AUTHOR or something??? I really need ur help on this one...

  2. What format was your original AVI in? If it was a 3ivx or XVID that uses VBR MP3 as the sound format, this can cause sync issues when you convert it. It's best to extract the audio from the AVI with Goldwave or Virtualdub, then convert it to a 16-bit 48Khz WAV (PCM), and then frameserve the video from the avi from Virtualdub into TMPGENC, then use your new WAV as the audio source for the encoding to MPEG.
