    hey guys I keep seeing a lot of manuals for shrinking dvd's. But is there a way to use DVD Shrink to shrink video files that I have on the computer and then burn them to dvd?

    well after I encode them they are mpeg 2

    well after I encode them they are mpeg 2
    ok if the files are too big to burn on DVD media then you could use DVD SHRINK to compress the files so it can fit.

    ... after you have authored them (created IFOs, BUPs and VOBs). AFAIK DVDShrink won't accept "raw" MPEG-2 as input.

    after you have authored them (created IFOs, BUPs and VOBs). AFAIK DVDShrink won't accept "raw" MPEG-2 as input.

    Or use VideoHelp Bitrate Calculator to get the right bitrate so it'll fit after encoding (allow a few 100Mb for menus, if you're gonna have them). And so not needing to shrink...
