Divx audio out of sync.......

I downloaded a cartoon divx file for my daughter but the audio id terribly out of sync. I mean around 3-5 seconds behind the video.....

Is there a good software that can help me fix the problem?

Use Virtualdub. Under audio>interleaving>audio skew correction. You can use + or - amounts to correct it and test it by playing the file in the main window. Set the audio and the video to direct stream copy and save avi when you're done.
